技术介绍：Therapeutic compositions and toilet preparations comprise a 5-amino hexahydro pyrimidine compound of formula <FORM:0804084/VI/1> where R is an aryl, aralkyl or alkaryl group and R1 is a methyl or ethyl group, or where R is an alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, amino alkyl or cycloalkyl group and R1 is a hydrogen atom, a propyl or butyl group or a hydroxymethyl group, and a pharmaceutical carrier. The pyrimidine compound may be used in amounts less than 1 per cent by weight. Specified compounds include 1,3 - bis(isopropyl) - 5 - hydroxymethyl-; 1,3-bis(ethylhexyl-; 1,3 - bis(ethylhexyl) - 5 - hydroxymethyl-; 1,3 - bistolyl - 5 - methyl-; 1,3 - bisbenzyl - 5 - methyl -; 1,3 - bis(methylbenzyl) - 5 - methyl-; 1,3 - bisphenyl - 5 - methyl-; 1,3 - bis - (phenylethyl) - 5 - methyl -; 1,3 - bis(ethylhexyl) - 5 - propyl-; 1,3 - bis-(ethylhexyl) - 5 - butyl - 5 - amino - hexahydropyrimidines. The compositions may be prepared in the form of paste, powder and liquid dentifrices, mouth washes, chewing gum, tablets, lozenges, water-washable and non-water-washable ointments, ophthalmic ointments, scalp lotions, nasal preparations (nasal jellies, sprays and drops), aerosols, foot powders, insufflation powders, vaginal preparations and compositions for parenteral administration. Solid carriers specified include starch, gelatin, lactose, talc and boric acid. Surface-active agents, e.g. ethanolamine salts, polyvinyl pyrrolidone and complex sorbitol ether-esters; may be added to form aqueous dispersions. Dental preparations may contain a water-soluble oxalate, e.g. sodium, potassium or ammonium oxalate or the urea salts of oxalic acid in amounts from approximately 0.25 to approximately 1.5 per cent by weight.
